A spiritual journey
The 5th Gospel

It Is not the Shroud that makes us believe in Christ, it is Christ who makes us believe in the Shroud.

It Is not the Shroud that makes us believe in Christ, it is Christ who makes us believe in the Shroud.
A gospel that tells with incredible PRECISION all the details of his Passion: his flogging, his coronation with thorns, his side pierced with a spear, and all the suffering from his crucifixion.
And, most importantly, a Gospel that PROVES his resurrection !
Who could be better than Him to tell us all this ?
There is currently in Turin, Italy, a linen Shroud with a double-sided printed image of a crucified person, representing in all aspects the signs of the Passion of Jesus Christ. This image was formed inexplicably, in a similar way to a three-dimensional photographic scanner.
The historical journey of the Shroud is well documented starting from 1348 till today. The challenge is to try to establish its history for the previous period based on solid assumptions confirmed by different sources and indices.
By analyzing the evolution in the iconographical representation of the face of Jesus through centuries, we can show how the image of the Shroud influenced this evolution, proving that the image existed since the earliest centuries.
Numerous arguments favor the authenticity of the Shroud as showing the image of Jesus. They are compared with only one element that supposes it is a fake from the Middle Age, this element being the controversial Carbon 14-dating.
Will we have the courage to answer like Peter?
